Fifteen Hours Later

Well, this has turned out to be probably the longest two days of my life. Sleep has been sparse, but life is good. Tonight at around 7:45 we met Randee at the hospital and held baby Ava for the first time. Randee's mom and younger sister were there to share in the experience with us. It was good for Faith to see Ava healthy and happy as the lasting memory she was having was of a purple baby surrounded by medical professionals that couldn't breathe. This time Ava was pink and perfect!

As for health, they are going to keep her in the NICU for a bit, but they don't quite know for how long yet. She is still working a bit to breathe, so they are going to treat it as the worst case scenario and treat it as pneumonia. They did some blood tests and should know the results early tomorrow. We will keep everybody posted.

Enjoy the photos!

Be sure to click on the comments and give Ava your love.

Thanks,
Dustin and Faith
